Caramel Frosting

Total Time: 15 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 10 mins

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 2 cups icing sugar (confectioner's)
  • 3/4 teaspoon vanilla

Recipe

  • 1 in a medium saucepan, combine butter and brown sugar.
  • 2 cook, stirring constantly over medium heat until mixture comes to a boil.
  • 3 add milk; bring mixture back to a boil.
  • 4 remove from heat.
  • 5 stir in icing sugar and vanilla.
  • 6 spread warm frosting immediately over cake.
