Blackstone Pound Cake

Total Time: 1 hr 50 mins Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 1 hr 30 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 12
  • 1 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup shortening
  • 3 cups sugar
  • 5 eggs
  • 3 1/2 cups flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 1 tablespoon nutmeg

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 300 degrees.
  • 2 cream butter and shortening with sugar.
  • 3 add eggs; one at a time beating well after each addition.
  • 4 sift dry ingredients together. add to creamed mixture alternately with milk.
  • 5 add vanilla and nutmeg.
  • 6 pour into greased and floured bundt pan.
  • 7 bake for 90 minutes.
  • 8 cook for about 25 minutes then invert onto serving plate.
