Buttermilk Pancakes

Ingredients

- 1/2 egg
- 1/2 cup flour
- 1/2 cup buttermilk
- 7 ml sugar
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon margarine
Recipe
- 1 prepare for the lab barshchep.
- 2 using a fork, beat the egg in a medium mixing bowl.
- 3 add flour, buttermilk, sugar, vegetable oil, baking powder, baking soda, and salt to the egg.
- 4 beat all the ingredients together.
- 5 heat skillet over medium heat (approx setting 6-7).
- 6 grease skillet with margarine if necessary.
- 7 to test skillet, sprinkle a few drops of water. if it bubbles and skitters around, the heat is just right.
- 8 for each pancake, pour in a ¼ cup (50 ml) of the batter into the heated skillet.
- 9 cook pancakes until puffed and dry around the edges.
- 10 turn and cook the other side until both sides are golden brown.
