Baked Chocolate Cheesecake

Total Time: 1 hr 35 mins Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 1 hr 15 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 15
  • 100 g butter, melted
  • 200 g shortbread cookies, crusehd
  • 600 ml cream
  • 250 g cream cheese, softened to room temp
  • 150 g chocolate, melted
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla

Recipe

  • 1 pre-heat your oven to 140oc.
  • 2 combine the cookie crumbs and butter, press into a 24cm spring form tin & refrigerate until firm.
  • 3 beat the cream cheese until soft and creamy. gradually beat in the cream, it will go thick and creamy (beat for 3-5 minutes).
  • 4 whisk in the eggs and vanilla.
  • 5 finally fold through the melted chocolate.
  • 6 pour into the base (i pour over the back of a large spoon) and bake in the pre-heated oven for 75 minutes. the center should resemble set jelly.
  • 7 leaven in the oven with the door open until at room temp (could take upto 2 hours).
  • 8 refrigerate until serving time. can be made upto 2 days ahead of time.

  • 1 cup miniature semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup golden raisin
  • 1/2 cup coarsely chopped pistachio nut
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 8 large eggs
  • 1 1/4 cups sugar
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • 2 teaspoons finely grated lemon zest
  • 1 teaspoon finely grated orange zest
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3 lbs whole milk ricotta cheese

Recipe

  • 1 position oven rack in the middle of the oven; preheat oven to 350°.
  • 2 butter and flour a 9-inch springform pan; wrap the outside with heavy-duty foil.
  • 3 have ready a roasting pan; put on a kettle of water to boil for the water bath.

  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 5 tablespoons milk

Recipe

  • 1 cake.
  • 2 preheat oven to 350 degrees.

  • 2 cups self-rising flour (or 2 cups regular flour teaspoons baking powder)

  • 2 combine oil, sugar, and eggs; beat until smooth.
  • 3 sift together flour, cinnamon, and baking soda; add to oil mixture and stir until combined.

  • 1 grease a 9-inch springform pan.
  • 2 in medium bowl stir 1/2 cup flour and the 3 tablespoons sugar. using a pastry blender, cut in 3 tablespoons butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. stir in almonds. set aside.
  • 3 in another medium bowl, stir together 2 cups flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. set flour mixture aside.

  • 5 spread 2/3 of the batter evenly into prepared pan. spread pie filling on top of batter. dollop remaining batter on top of filling. sprinkle sugar mixture over batter in the pan. bake in a 350 degree oven one hour, till toothpick in center comes out clean (but dough could be under the filling and toothpick won't show it. i needed 1 hour, 15 minutes).
  • 6 cool for 10 minutes. serve warm. cover any leftovers in refrigerator for up to 3 days.

  • 2 grease and lightly flour a 10 x 15 pan.

  • 4 place diced apple in a bowl pour cider and frangelico over the apples.
  • 5 in a medium bowl combine eggs, butter, and vanilla. add the egg mixture to dry ingredients, just until moistened. stir in apples mixture to just blend inches.
  • 6 spread into prepared pan. bake for 45 minutes.

  • 8 meanwhile in a small saucepan melt butter till sizzling stop and starts to brown slightly add nuts cook for 1 minute. remove from heat while carefully pouring frangelico into nuts. place back over flame add sugar, mix in then add cream.
  • 9 cook and stir till bubbly and all of the sugar is dissolved.
  • 10 with a fork carefully pierce the cake then drizzle warm sauce over cake.

Ingredients

  • 100 g butter
  • 175 g caster sugar
  • 75 g dark muscovado sugar
  • 125 g dark chocolate
  • 1 tablespoon golden syrup
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla flavoring
  • 100 g plain flour
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder

Recipe

  • 1 grease and line the base of a 20cm (8") square tin. preheat the oven to 180°c (gm4, 350°f).
  • 2 put the butter, both sugars, chocolate and golden syrup in a heavy based saucepan and heat gently until everything has dissolved and the mixture is smooth. take off the heat and leave until cool.
  • 3 beat the eggs and the flavouring together and then whisk in the cooled chocolate mixture.
  • 4 sieve flour, cocoa and baking powder together and gently fold into the rest of the mixture.
  • 5 place the mixture in the tin and bake for around 25 mins until the top is crisp and the cake is beginning to pull away from the edge of the tin. the middle will still be very soft.
  • 6 leave the cake to cool in the tin and then cut into squares.

  • 1 1/3 cups water
  • 1/3 cup oil
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 (11 ounce) pie crust mix, to make 2 crusts

  • 2 cups strawberry jam

  • 1 preheat oven to 350°.
  • 2 prepare cake mix: to the cake mix, add the water, oil and eggs and mix for 30 seconds at low speed to combine the ingredients. then mix at medium speed for 2 minutes.
  • 3 set aside.
  • 4 prepare pie crust: combine both packets of pie crust mix with 1/3 cup cold water until pastry forms a ball. flatten, then roll out on lightly floured surface.
  • 5 using a round cutter or glass, cut 24 rounds in crust to fit in bottom of 24 muffin tins.
  • 6 place dough circles in bottom of muffin tins.
  • 7 top each circle with 1 tablespoons of jam.
  • 8 pour cake batter over jam so that cups are 3/4 full.
  • 9 bake in preheated oven till cake springs back when touched, 18 to 25 minute.
  • 10 let cool 10 minute in pans before removing to wire rack to cool completely.

  • 1 (16 ounce) package phyllo dough
  • 1 lb chopped nuts
  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup honey

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 350ºf (175ºc). butter the bottoms and sides of a 9- x 13-inch pan.
  • 2 chop nuts and toss with cinnamon. set aside. unroll phyllo dough. cut whole stack in half to fit pan. cover phyllo with a dampened cloth to keep from drying out as you work. place two sheets of dough in pan, butter thoroughly. repeat until you have 8 sheets layered. sprinkle 2-3 tablespoons of nut mixture on top. top with two sheets of dough, butter, nuts, layering as you go. the top layer should be about 6-8 sheets deep.
  • 3 using a sharp knife cut into diamond or square shapes all the way to the bottom of the pan. you may cut into 4 long rows then make diagonal cuts. bake for 50 minutes until baklava is golden and crisp.

Recipe

  • 1 trim visible fat from chicken; cut each breast into 6 even strips.
  • 2 coat chicken pieces with yogurt.
  • 3 combine cracker crumbs, thyme, marjoram and curry.
  • 4 roll chicken strips in crumbs.
  • 5 place chicken in single layer on cake rack set in baking pan.
  • 6 bake at 375 degrees for 25 minutes or until crumbs are lightly browned and crisp.
  • 7 remove from oven.
  • 8 for dipping sauce: combine yogurt, catsup, celery, soy sauce, garlic (if desired) and pepper to taste.
  • 9 serve as dip for chicken fingers.

Bria's Kahlua Cake

  • 1 (8 ounce) box devil's food cake mix
  • 1 (6 ounce) package chocolate chips
  • 3/4 cup oil
  • 1/2 cup kahlua
  • 2 cups sour cream
  • 4 eggs

Recipe

  • 1 mix together cake mix, oil, kahua, sour cream, and eggs. add chocolate chips.
  • 2 bake 40-45 minutes in bundt pan.
  • 3 sprinkle with powdered sugar when cool.

Buckwheat Pancakes

  • 2 egg whites
  • 1 tablespoon canola oil
  • 1/2 cup nonfat milk
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour (plain)
  • 1/2 cup buckwheat flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1/2 cup sparkling water
  • 3 cups fresh strawberries, sliced

Recipe

  • 1 in a small bowl, whisk together the egg whites, canola oil and milk.
  • 2 in another bowl, combine the flours, baking powder and sugar.
  • 3 add the egg mixture and the sparkling water and stir until slightly moistened.
  • 4 place a nonstick frying pan or griddle over medium heat.
  • 5 when a drop of water sizzles as it hits the pan, spoon 1/2 cup pancake batter into the pan.
  • 6 cook until the top surface of the pancake is covered with bubbles and the edges are lightly browned, about 2 minutes.
  • 7 turn and cook until the bottom is well-browned and the pancake is cooked through, 1 to 2 minutes longer.
  • 8 repeat with the remaining pancake batter.
  • 9 transfer the pancakes to individual plates.
  • 10 top each with 1/2 cup sliced strawberries and serve immediately.

Apple Streusel Cinnamon Swirl Cupcakes

  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup grated peeled apple (1 large apple)
  • 2 tablespoons cinnamon sugar (from above)
  • 1 1/4 cups unbleached all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 3/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup canola oil or 1 cup corn oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

Recipe

  • 1 position a rack in the middle of the oven. preheat the oven to 350°f line 12 muffin tin cups with paper cupcake liners.
  • 2 make the swirl and topping: in a small bowl, stir the sugar and cinnamon together.
  • 3 make the cupcakes: in a small bowl, mix together the grated apple and the 2 tablespoons cinnamon sugar; set aside.
  • 4 in a large bowl, stir the flour, sugar, baking soda, and salt together. make a well in the center of the flour mixture and add the eggs, oil, and vanilla, stirring until blended. stir the reserved apple mixture, with any juice that bas been released.
  • 5 spoon about 2 tablespoons of the batter into each paper liner. sprinkle ½ teaspoon cinnamon sugar over the batter in each liner. spoon the remaining batter over the cinnamon sugar, using a scant 2 tablespoons of batter for each cupcake.
  • 6 use a pastry brush to dab the top of the batter with the melted butter. sprinkle the remaining cinnamon sugar over the top of the cupcakes.
  • 7 bake just until the top feels firm and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean, about 25 minutes.
  • 8 cool the cupcakes for 10 minutes in the pan on a wire rack. remove the cupcakes from the pan onto a wire rack and let cool completely.
