Brownie Pudding Cake

Total Time: 1 hr 5 mins Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 45 mins

Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 3 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans or 1/2 cup walnuts
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 1/2 cups boiling water

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 350°f
  • 2 for pudding, combine all ingredients in a medium bowl; pour into greased 8-inch square baking dish.
  • 3 for topping, combine sugar and cocoa in a small bowl; gradually stir in boiling water.
  • 4 pour over pudding. do not stir.
  • 5 bake 45 minutes. topping will sink and the pudding will rise to the top.
  • 6 allow to cool slightly before serving. serve with ice cream or whipped cream.
