Cherry Brandy Blondies

Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup brandy or 1/3 cup orange juice
  • 1 cup dried cherries
  • 1 cup chopped almonds, toasted
  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla
  • 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup icing sugar
  • 2 tablespoons brandy or 2 tablespoons orange juice

Recipe

  • 1 in small saucepan, bring brandy to a boil; stir in cherries and almonds.
