Cajun Syrup Cake (gâteau De Sirop)

Total Time: 45 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 30 mins

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs (unbeaten)
  • 3/4 cup whole milk
  • 1/2 cup vegetable shortening
  • 1 cup cane syrup (steen's)

Recipe

  • 1 combine dry ingredients.
  • 2 then in a mixing bowl add milk, eggs 1 at a time, shortening & cane syrup.
  • 3 beat gently only till all ingredients are mixed together (do not overbeat!).
  • 4 pour batter into bundt pan, tube pan or deep cake pan & bake at 350°f for 30-35 minutes.
