Boiled Patty Cakes

Ingredients

• Servings: 12
• 3 -4 cups sugar
• 3 -4 cups water
• 3 -4 cups sultanas
• 1 pinch salt
• 4 ounces butter
• 1 -2 teaspoon baking soda
• 1 teaspoon mixed spice
• 1 tablespoon golden syrup
• 1 egg
• 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
• 3/4 cup self rising flour

Recipe

• 1 boil first 8 ingredients together until sugar has dissolved.
• 2 add except.
• 3 when sugar has dissolved, allow to cool.
• 4 add egg and flours and mix well.
• 5 spoon mixture into patty paper pans (or you can make muffin sized cakes). bake at 450f in top of oven approximately 12 minutes.
