Bev's Coffee Cake

Total Time: 45 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 30 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 12
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup crushed walnuts
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup sugar

Recipe

  • 1 cream butter and one cup sugar.
  • 2 add effs, one at a time, beating well after each.
  • 3 mix together flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt and add to mixture along with sour cream.
  • 4 put one-half of batter in a greased pan (a 9x9 inch pan works well).
  • 5 sprinkle one-half of the topping in pan, add the rest of the batter and then sprinkle the rest of the topping over the top.
  • 6 bake in a preheated oven at 175c (350f) until the top is nicely browned, about 30 minutes but keeping checking after 25 minutes.
