Betty Enderle's Coffe Cake

Ingredients

- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup margarine
- 1 egg
- 4 -4 1/2 cups flour
- 1 (1/4 ounce) package yeast
- sugar and cinnamon
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup oil
- 3 tablespoons heavy cream
Recipe
- 1 scald milk; stir in sugar and margarine and cool it down.
- 2 put water in a warm bowl and sprinkle with yeast, stirring well. add to milk. add egg and half of the flour, beating until smooth. add remaing flour to make a stiff batter.
- 3 cover well with foil or paper. refrigerate 2 hours. put in a 9 x 13" pan and let rise (double). poke holes and sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon. cover with hot cream and bake at 350 f for 20 minutes, or until done.
- 4 cream: cook all ingredients for 2-3 minutes.
