Ingredients
- 6 ounces butter
- 3 eggs
- 1 pinch salt
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 8 ounces raisins
- 1/2 teaspoon mixed spice
- 6 ounces sugar
- 12 ounces flour, sifted
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 8 ounces chopped figs or 8 ounces dates
Recipe
- 1 cream the butter and sugar.
- 2 add the eggs.
- 3 mix in the rest of the ingredients, stirring well, adding the fruit last.
- 4 bake in an 8 inch tin at 350 f for 1 1/2-2 hours.
