Chocolate Dessert

Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter or 1/2 cup margarine, softened
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups hershey's syrup (16-ounce can)
  • 2 cups confectioners' sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter or 1/2 cup margarine, softened
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 1/2-3/4 teaspoon mint extract
  • 3 drops green food coloring
  • 6 tablespoons butter or 6 tablespoons margarine
  • 1 cup hershey semi-sweet chocolate chips

Recipe

  • 1 cake layer:.
  • 2 heat oven to 350 degrees.
  • 3 grease rectangular pan, 13x9x2 inches.
  • 4 in large mixer bowl combine flour,sugar,butter, eggs and syrup; beat until smooth.
  • 5 pour into prepared pan; bake 25 to 30 minutes or until top springs back when lightly touched.

  • 7 spread mint cream center on cake; cover and chill.
  • 8 pour chocolate topping over chilled dessert.
