7-up Chocolate Chip Pound Cake

Ingredients

- 1 1/2 cups softened butter
- 3 cups sugar
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 5 eggs
- 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup cocoa
- 3/4 cup 7-up soda
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Recipe
- 1 cream butter with an electric mixer.
- 2 add sugar and vanilla; beat until light and fluffy.
- 3 add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
- 4 stir in flour and cocoa, blending thoroughly.
- 5 stir in 7up.
- 6 fold in chocolate chips.
- 7 spoon into a well greased 10-inch tube pan.
- 8 bake at 350 for 1 hour.
- 9 cool in pan on a wire rack for 10 minutes.
- 10 remove from pan, cool completely.
