Cardamom Cake

Total Time: 45 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 30 mins

Ingredients

  • 1 3/4 cups flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 teaspoons ground cardamom
  • 1/2 cup softened butter
  • 1 egg
  • 3/4 cup milk

Recipe

  • 1 heat oven to 180c fan.
  • 2 grease and flour a 23cm round cake tin.
  • 3 mix the dry ingredients in a bowl.
  • 4 add butter, egg, and milk and stir to a smooth batter.
  • 5 pour batter into tin, smoothing the surface with a spatula.
  • 6 bake in the lower half of the oven for approx 30 minutes.
  • 7 let cool before removing from tin.
