Ingredients

• 1 1/2 cups butter, soft
• 3 cups sugar
• 5 eggs
• 3 cups flour
• 2 teaspoons lemon extract
• 3/4 cup 7-up soda

Recipe

• 1 cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
• 2 add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
• 3 stir in flour; beat in lemon extract and 7up.
• 4 pour batter into well greased and floured 12 cup fluted mold.
• 5 bake at 325 degrees for 60 minutes to an hour and 25 minutes.
• 6 cool; dust with conf.
• 7 sugar if desired.
