Apple Cinnamon Bundt Cake

Total Time: 1 hr 20 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 1 hr 5 mins

Ingredients

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 4 large eggs, beaten
  • 1/4 cup orange juice
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3 apples
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 5 teaspoons granulated sugar

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 350°f grease and flour one 10 inch tube pan or bundt pan.
  • 2 combine the ground cinnamon and 5 teaspoons of the sugar together and set aside. peel, core and slice the apples then toss with the cinnamon mixture.
  • 3 in a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, salt, baking powder and 2 cups of the sugar.
  • 4 stir in the vegetable oil, beaten eggs, orange juice and vanilla, mixing well.
  • 5 pour 1/2 of the batter into the prepared pan. top with 1/2 of the sliced apples. pour the remaining batter over the apples and layer the remaining sliced apples.
  • 6 bake for 65-70 minutes, or until a tester inserted comes out clean.
