Chocolate Cranberry Bars

Total Time: 40 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 30 mins

Ingredients

  • 2 cups chocolate wafer crumbs
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 2 eggs
  • 300 ml sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 1/2 cups dried cranberries
  • 4 ounces bittersweet chocolate, chopped
  • 2 ounces chocolate, chopped
  • 1/2 cup hazelnuts, chopped

Recipe

  • 1 line a 9" x 13" metal cake pan with parchment paper or grease.
  • 2 in a bowl, stir the chocolate wafer crumbs with the butter until moistened and press into the prepared pan.
  • 3 bake in the centre of a 350 degree f oven until firm, about 10 minutes.
  • 4 let cool on a rack.
  • 5 meanwhile, in a bowl, beat the eggs with the condensed milk.
  • 6 stir in the cranberries, bittersweet and chocolates and hazelnuts.
  • 7 spread over the base.
  • 8 bake in the centre of a 350 degree f oven until set in the centre, about 20 minutes.
  • 9 let cool on a rack.
  • 10 cut into bars.
