Chocolate Coffee Cake

Ingredients

- 3 ounces semisweet chocolate
- 1/2 cup brewed coffee
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2/3 cup flour
- 2/3 cup pecans, chopped
- 2/3 cup brown sugar
- 4 teaspoons salt
- 1/3 cup butter
Recipe
- 1 melt chocolate over a double boiler.
- 2 add milk and coffee.
- 3 set aside 2 tbsp of mixture for topping.
- 4 combine flour, baking soda, powder and salt.
- 5 cream together sugar and butter, beat in eggs and coffee mixture.
- 6 stir flour into wet ingredients 1/3 at a time.
- 7 pour batter in a 9-inch greased pan.
- 8 combine flour,nuts, brown sugar, salt and butter together with the reserved coffee mixture.
- 9 spread evenly overtop of batter.
- 10 bake at 350 degrees for 40 minute.
