Charlene's 7 Up Pound Cake

Total Time: 1 hr 30 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 1 hr 20 mins

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups softened butter
  • 3 cups sugar
  • 5 eggs
  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon lemon extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
  • 10 ounces any lemon soda

Recipe

  • 1 cream butter and sugar together until smooth.
  • 2 add eggs and flavorings.
  • 3 gradually alternate adding flour and 7 up, blend well between each and end with flour.
  • 4 grease and flour (or use baking non-stick spray) a tube pan. bake at 350* for 45 minutes and then at 300* for 35 minutes. allow to cool in pan for about 20 minutes before removing.
