Ingredients
- 2 3/4 cups sugar
- 3 1/4 cups icing sugar
- 2 1/2 lbs ground almonds
- 4 eggs, beaten
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 2 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
Recipe
- 1 mix sugars.
- 2 add almonds.
- 3 mix eggs, lemon juice and vanilla.
- 4 mix together.
- 5 knead til pliable.
- 6 divide in 3.
- 7 wrap each in tinfoil.
- 8 let stand overnight.
- 9 roll out 1 ball to 1/2 inch thick and cover cakes.
- 10 let stand overnight covered with a tea towel.
- 11 ice cakes if desired.
