Candied Pecans

Total Time: 50 mins Preparation Time: 30 mins Cook Time: 20 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 8
  • 3 1/2 cups pecans
  • 2 egg whites
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted

Recipe

  • 1 brown pecans in open pan in oven at 325 degrees (just for a minute until brown). take out and cool. beat egg whites, salt and sugar until stiff peaks form. add pecans to egg whites. in meantime, melt butter in large cake pan 9 x 13 inch. spread pecan mixture over melted butter. bake 325 degrees for 30 minutes stir every 10 minutes until butter is absorbed. cool on waxed paper.
