Brussels Waffles

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3/4 cup melted butter
  • 3 cups flour
  • 2/3 ounce yeast
  • 12 tablespoons milk, divided
  • 3 egg yolks
  • 1 pinch salt

Recipe

  • 1 dissolve the yeast in 6 tablespoons of milk and let develop for 10 minutes. stir in the flour and let rise at warm temperature, keeping away from drafts, until double.
  • 2 add the butter, sugar, egg yolks, salt and remaining milk mix thoroughly, cover, and rest in refrigerator overnight.
  • 3 when ready, use ladle and pour into waffle iron, cooking until golden brown.
