Aunt Dean's Nut Roll Or Let The Good Nuts Roll

Total Time: 2 hrs 30 mins Preparation Time: 2 hrs Cook Time: 30 mins

Ingredients

  • 1 cup milk, luke warm
  • 1 large fresh yeast cake
  • 6 cups flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1/2 lb butter
  • 1/2 pint sour cream
  • 4 egg yolks
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 4 cups ground walnuts (i just chop finely)
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 1/2-2 cups warm milk
  • 1 egg, slightly beaten

Recipe

  • 1 crumble yeast in milk.
  • 2 sift flour, sugar and salt.
  • 3 work in butter.
  • 4 add sour cream, yeast mixture and egg yolks.
  • 5 knead thoroughly.
  • 6 cover and place in refrigerator over night.
  • 7 divide into 4 parts.
  • 8 form rolls, using nut filling.
