Butter Almond Cake

Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 3/4 cup melted butter
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon almond extract
- 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 3 tablespoons sliced almonds, toasted
- 1 tablespoon sugar
Recipe
- 1 blend 1 1/2 cups sugar and melted butter.
- 2 beat in eggs.
- 3 stir in almond and vanilla extracts.
- 4 add salt and flour and mix well.
- 5 spread batter evenly in a greased-and-floured, 9-inch round pan.
- 6 sprinkle with toasted almonds and sugar for garnish.
- 7 bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes.
- 8 (toast almonds ahead or in oven while it is preheating.).
