Butter Almond Cake

Total Time: 40 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 30 mins

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 3/4 cup melted butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon almond extract
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 3 tablespoons sliced almonds, toasted
  • 1 tablespoon sugar

Recipe

  • 1 blend 1 1/2 cups sugar and melted butter.
  • 2 beat in eggs.
  • 3 stir in almond and vanilla extracts.
  • 4 add salt and flour and mix well.
  • 5 spread batter evenly in a greased-and-floured, 9-inch round pan.
  • 6 sprinkle with toasted almonds and sugar for garnish.
  • 7 bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes.
  • 8 (toast almonds ahead or in oven while it is preheating.).
