Chai Spiced Pancakes

Total Time: 20 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 10 mins

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon cardamom
  • 1/4 teaspoon allspice
  • 1 pinch ground pepper
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 1 egg
  • 3 tablespoons vegetable oil

Recipe

  • 1 heat oven to 200°f.
  • 2 mix together the dry ingredients in a large bowl.
  • 3 mix the wet ingredients (milk, egg, and vegetable oil) together then add to the bowl with the dry ingredients.
  • 4 mix together until mostly combined. let sit for 2-3 minutes.
  • 5 heat a fry pan over medium low heat and add a bit of oil to the fry pan and add 1/4 cup of batter for each pancake.
  • 6 let cook until the edges begin to appear dry. flip and cook on the other side until both sides are golden.
  • 7 place pancakes on a baking sheet in the oven to keep warm until all pancakes are cooked.
  • 8 serve with maple syrup.
