Chai Cupcakes

Total Time: 40 mins Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 20 mins

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 tablespoon chai tea mix
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup light brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven 350 degrees. combine dry ingredients in small bowl. beat in butter, brown sugar, and vanilla in a medium bowl with an electric mixer. add eggs one at a time, beating until just blended. on low speed add dry ingredients and milk. bake for 20-25 minutes.
  • 2 topping: beat cream until thickened (adding chai flavoring if desired) spoon the thickened cream on top of each cupcake and dust tops with cinnamon.
