Caramel Pecan Cake

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 3 cups sugar
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 6 large eggs
  • 8 ounces sour cream
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 3 cups cake flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon almond extract
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup evaporated milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/4 teaspoon almond extract
  • 1 dash salt
  • chopped pecans

Recipe

  • 1 cream butter, add sugar and fresh lemon juice.
  • 2 cream until light and fluffy --
  • 3 add eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
