Cherry-mallow Cake

- 4 cups miniature marshmallows (about 3/4 of a 10-1/2 ounce package)
- 18 1/4 ounces yellow cake mix
- 1 1/4 cups water
- 1/3 cup oil
- 3 egg whites
- 21 ounces cherry pie filling
Recipe
- 1 preheat the oven to 350 degrees f. spray a 13x9x2-inch baking pan with vegetable cooking spray. lay the marshmallows evenly over the bottom of the pan.
- 2 prepare the cake mix according to the package directions. pour the batter over the marshmallows. spoon the cherry filling evenly over the cake batter.
- 3 remove pan from oven and cool on wire racks.
- 4 after the cake is cool, cut into squares.
