Cheese Waffles With Ham Sauce

Total Time: 30 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 20 mins

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup bisquick baking mix
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 cup ham, finely cubed
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 2 cups bisquick baking mix
  • 1 1/3 cups milk
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded

Recipe

  • 1 heat butter over low heat in a 2 quart saucepan until melted. stir in 1/4 cup baking mix and the pepper. cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until mixture is smooth and bubbly. remove from heat and stir in 2 cups milk. heat to boiling, stirring constantly. boil and stir 1 minute.
  • 2 stir in ham and parseley, heat through. keep warm over low heat.
  • 3 beat 2 cups baking mix, 1 1/3 cup cups milk, the oil and egg with wire whisk until well blended. fold in the cheese. pour 1 cup batter onto center of hot waffle iron.
  • 4 bake until steaming slows. remove waffle carefully. serve with hot ham sauce over waffles.
