Blueberries 'n Cheese Coffeecake

Ingredients

- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 1/4 cups granulated sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 1/4 cups flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup milk
- 2 cups blueberries
- 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, cut into small cubes
- 1 teaspoon lemon peel, grated
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup flour
- 1 teaspoon lemon peel, grated
- 2 tablespoons butter
Recipe
- 1 beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- 2 add eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- 3 in a separate bowl, combine 1 cup of flour, baking powder, and salt.
- 4 add dry ingredients and milk alternately, mix well after each addition.
- 5 in a separate bowl, toss blueberries with remaining flour. fold berries into batter with cream cheese and lemon peel.
- 6 pour into greased and floured 13x9 baking pan.
- 7 combine sugar, flour, and peel; cut in butter until mixture looks like small crumbs.
- 8 bake at 375 for 1 hour. cool.
- 9 sprinkle with powdered sugar before serving.
