Ingredients

- 1 cup water
- 2 tablespoons active dry yeast
- 2 cups milk
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1 cup organic raw sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 egg
- 1 egg yolk
- wheat flour
Recipe
- 1 warm milk, butter, sugar and salt in saucepan until it gets good and warm (do not boil). add egg and extra yolk.
- 2 put a little flour in before yeast, then add enough flour to achieve desired firmness (beat a lot after each addition of flour; not as stiff as bread dough.).
- 3 grease tops and let rise for 30 minutes. bake in 350 degree oven.
- 4 hint: watch the rising of these rolls as they do rise rapidly. if they rise too much, they will turn out airy and dry.
- 5 original recipe: compressed yeast cakes (little sugar)(in lieu of dry yeast), 1 c sugar (in lieu of raw sugar), flour (in lieu of wheat flour).
