Almond Torte

Ingredients

- 1 1/3 cups whole wheat pastry flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1 medium egg, slightly beaten
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 cup almonds, finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon almond extract
- 2 medium eggs
- 1/2 cup raspberry jam
- 1/2 cup icing sugar
- 1 medium lemon, juice of
Recipe
- 1 mix the first 5 ingredients together well.
- 2 press into a 8" springform pan.
- 3 chill 30 minutes.
- 4 mix next 5 ingredients together and beat until light and then pour over chilled shell.
- 5 bake 350 oven for 30 minutes.
- 6 cook 1 hour and remove from pan.
- 7 spread top with raspberry jam.
- 8 combine icing sugar and lemon juice and drizzle over cake.
