Almond Torte

Total Time: 45 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 30 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 12
  • 1 1/3 cups whole wheat pastry flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1 medium egg, slightly beaten
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 cup almonds, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon almond extract
  • 2 medium eggs
  • 1/2 cup raspberry jam
  • 1/2 cup icing sugar
  • 1 medium lemon, juice of

Recipe

  • 1 mix the first 5 ingredients together well.
  • 2 press into a 8" springform pan.
  • 3 chill 30 minutes.
  • 4 mix next 5 ingredients together and beat until light and then pour over chilled shell.
  • 5 bake 350 oven for 30 minutes.
  • 6 cook 1 hour and remove from pan.
  • 7 spread top with raspberry jam.
  • 8 combine icing sugar and lemon juice and drizzle over cake.
