Cake Brownies

Ingredients

- 1/2 cup butter 
- 1/2 cup oil 
- 1 cup water 
- 4 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa 
- 2 cups flour 
- 2 cups sugar 
- 2 eggs 
- 1 teaspoon baking soda 
- 1/2 cup buttermilk 
- 1 teaspoon vanilla 
- 1/2 cup butter 
- 3 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa 
- 1/3 cup buttermilk 
- 1 packet confectioners' sugar 
- 1 cup walnuts, chopped 
- 1 teaspoon vanilla 
Recipe
- 1 preheat oven to 350. 
- 2 grease and flour a 9 x 13 baking pan. 
- 3 mix butter, oil, water and cocoa together in small sauce pan. 
- 4 bring to boil. 
- 5 add this mixture to flour and sugar and beat until smooth. 
- 6 add eggs, baking soda, buttermilk and vanilla. 
- 7 mix well. 
- 8 pour into prepared baking pan. 
- 9 bake 20 minutes. 
- 10 prepare frosting while brownies are baking. 
- 11 put all frosting ingredients in medium saucepan and heat. 
- 12 do not boil. 
- 13 frost immediately after removing from oven.
